IDEAS provides a solution in mechanical engineering design. We can help our customer to carry out the required engineering tasks. We will carry out the desired engineering tasks for our customer that either do not have their own engineering expertise, small manufacturing company, new venture start-up or/and for those who would like to outsourcing their engineering job. Technical support is available for single projects, long-term and/or recurring projects. Prototype development, tooling/molds/die, production manufacturing engineering and technical documentation services are offered as well.
Product Design and Development Services
We specialize in new product development, product redesign, analysis, prototype fabrication and testing. We have been involved with numerous consumers, industrial and commercial product design over the years. We have experienced engineers, most with more than 8 years of experience.
Our firm has extensive experience in designing products with plastic injection molded parts, sheet metal stamping parts, die-casting parts, aluminium extrusion parts and also CNC machining parts. We have been using 3D modeling, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Catia V5 and ProE to produce the prototype using rapid prototyping techniques and develop the actual production tooling once the design is proven and passed all the testing and requirements.
Besides the design & development of the product, we also offer a good product development technique to our customer. We have a good and proven technique in project management in order to make sure the date line and final goal can be achieved as planned.
CAD Design and 3D Modeling
We can provide you with much kind of 3D modeling services. We also provide 2D to 3D conversion services, 2D drafting and etc.
If you are doubts on how is your design and concept would look like, 3D modeling is the answer. The 3D realistic views will help you to feel the real feeling of the product as final product, and also shorten the time for design review and decision making stage. We also use 3D modeling to check on the assembly, mechanical movement and interference detection of parts.
The 3D modeling also can be use as product rendering tool. From 3D model, we can convert it into picture for graphic design.
CAE Analysis
Product development can't be complete without proper testing and review. In order to save development time and cost, CAE play an important role here. We use COSMOS FEA to calculate the stress, deformation, and determine the safety factor of our design. CAE help us to skip the conventional method of formula calculation, which lead to total time and resources saving of a project.
Manufacturing support
Our engineers previously work in manufacturing company. Hence we can provide the manufacturer with supports in manufacturing documentation and procedures. We can provide ideas and solution in ISO 9001, TS 16949, PPAP preparation, Cost reduction activities, product development flow and QC procedure.
Jigs and Fixtures Design
We also deal with a lot of process engineering solutions. We design and develop the custom machinery for small production with build in checking and assembly jig. We also will provide our customer with the ideas on how to produce poka-yoke (Go-No-Go) jig to prevent human error during assembly.
Reverse Engineering
We also provide reverse engineering services. We offer re-design and also cost reduction activities of existing products. We provide a smart approach to the design and development phase of a project.
